Map Makers in P4

23rd Sep 2025
As part of their Vikings topic, children in P4 have been learning about Scandinavia. We are very happy with the 3D clay maps we created of Norway and Sweden. We included the mountains (Galdhopiggen), boulders and fjords of Norway, forests of Sweden and Jelling Stones at the tip of Denmark.? We also included a few of the native animals, such as the moose, reindeer, arctic fox and white-tailed eagle. Our investigation then compared the landscape of Ireland and Scandinavia, leading us to think of reasons as to why the Vikings wanted to leave Scandinavia and invade Ireland. ? We can’t wait to delve further into the fascinating world of the Vikings!? Have a look at our super topographical maps?
